The Story of Devil’s Gate

There’s a great mystery tied to the immensely creepy spot called Devil’s Gate, which is concealed in town. In fact, scriptwriter Mark Frost has created an entire world surrounding Devil’s Gate, which presumably a portal to the underworld. And more and more stories have cropped up, some of which were mentioned by Frost in the books, going way beyond what we’ve seen in the TV show, and ample proof that it’s not the last we’ve seen of Devil’s Gate. According to the book, there’s a reference a rocket scientist called Jack Parsons, who was part of an occult religion.

The misguided occultists performed various rituals to summon a demon. In the series, Dougie Milford visited the rock and was overcome with some sort of “animalistic fear,” the same one he felt when he was in Glastonbury Grove. So, what further mysteries are tied to this place remains to be seen in series 3.
