Perhaps you’ve heard of it? The iPad is an e-reader, tablet PC, and netbook wrapped up in one sleek, fetishized device — though it can’t yet replace a desktop or laptop computer.
Packing the 1.5-lb. iPad in your briefcase is easy; we give it high marks for its portability, fast boot-up times, and amazing screen. (Though we also think there are worthwhile alternatives.) Oh yeah, and there are about 200,000 available apps. It’s a little too late now to get early-adopter cred, but you’ll still look all design-forward and Appley.
