3. It Started In Illinois
The first DQ was established in Joliet, Illinois, where a deal was offered for customers to enjoy all they could eat for just 10 cents. In a few months the entire town got diabetes and the deal was stopped. We’re kidding, it was only a handful. Still, the offer was so successful that founder Sherb Noble feared customers would break the glass at the front of the store trying to get in.
