Still jazzed off the widespread death and despair of the first Great War, earth could hardly wait to wage another war of itself to tie up the loose plot threads left after Part 1. In the sequel, American forces were pulled in early following the Japanese strike on Pearl Harbor.
Jews, largely blamed by right-wing Germans for the nation’s defeat in World War I, got it the worst, with a quarter-million Japanese civilians and Tom Hanks also meeting untimely demises. It was the deadliest war in the history of wars, chilling further major military conflicts for all of five years.
