Theory: Ash is Always 10 Years Old
We’re looking at a show — The Pokemon anime series— that’s been around for about 20 years, and in all that time Ash Ketchum, the main character hasn’t gotten a day older. Believe it or not, the show’s passionate supporters have established why Ash is constantly 10 years old. This is connected to the series’ pilot episode, in which Ash witnesses the legendary Pokemon Ho-oh and is told: “Anyone seeing it is promised eternal happiness”. Supposedly his concept of being happy all the time was being forever on a Pokemon journey, hence Ho-oh fulfilled the wish by bestowing him with eternal youth.
