How to Make a Girl Feel Special

happy married couple

No matter how many rom-coms you watch or how many Buzzfeed articles you read, it seems like making a girl feel special is still a mystery. That’s because each girl is unique, and not every trick media boasts about is universal. Girls want what they can’t have: that guy, that body, that hair, that outfit. But what girls want the most is to know that they’re special, to be appreciated for who they are and not what they are in comparison to every other girl. Take it from me, a girl who’s been told her whole life she’s not like other girls. It may seem complicated, but if you follow these tips, you can make any girl feel special.

Ways to Make Her Feel Special

#1. Prove that you’re listening.

In the beginning of every relationship, there’s a lot of endless nights talking, discovering the beautiful inner-workings of your newfound love interest. Unfortunately, listening fizzles out as time wears on. The best way to prove you’re listening is to engage and follow up on her rants. Ask her how she’s doing if she mentions she’s going through something, provide as much insight to prove that you’re understanding her, or ask questions to prove to her that you’re TRYING to understand. This is hands down the most important trick I can offer, because it’s the base of how to make a girl feel special.

#2. Follow through.

It’s easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of early romances, but jot down a few things that she’s always said she wanted to do, and that you’ve agreed that you’ve always wanted to do. Do something about. Make it happen. There’s nothing a girl loves more than when a guy shows that he cares enough to follow through. These experiences are what will build your relationship, making it strong and healthy. Do NOT say you will do something and then back out. That’s the worst thing anyone can do to another person. Actions speak louder than words, so if you’re serious about a girl and want to make her feel special, always follow through.
