The dream of every guy, regardless of age, is to have chiseled abs. Chicks dig ‘em, and guys do what they can to get them and maintain them. As men age, the Adonis six-pack slowly morphs into a visual history of beer-drinking and junk food. Ripped abs can be achieved no matter what age or fitness level a guy may be, however, and here is the best ab workout for men to regain — and retain — their form.
The Side Plank
While lying on either the left or right side of the body, raise the upper torso with the forearm of your chosen side. The body while raised should be in a straight line, from the ankles and legs to the upper body and shoulders. Flex the abdominal muscle for 30-45 seconds. At the conclusion of the time, relax and then do the same exercise using the other forearm and side of the body. This sounds simple enough, but after four or five sets of this exercise, the abs will indeed feel the burn.

The Frontal Plank
Start out in the traditional push-up position. Maneuver down to your elbows with all of your upper body weight on the forearms while maintaining the raised push-up position, keeping your spine in as straight a line as possible. Like the side plank, flex your abdominal muscles for 30 to 45 seconds, take a knee, rest for one minute and begin again.
A guy doesn’t need fancy workout equipment or a gym membership to perform the best ab workout for men; effort can be enough.
