There are a lot of things to remember for first dates. Thinking about conversational topics, where to take your date and worrying about what to wear can drive a man crazy. If the first date goes well, you’re then faced with the decision about when to make contact after the first date. While many men choose to wait for days before contacting their date again, this may not be a good idea.
Playing hard to get has been a favorite way to attract women for decades. Men would go on a date, show their lady a good time and then refuse to call them until they think that she’s nearly forgotten him. While this tactic was a great way to attract women before, times have changed.
There are a number of good ways to make contact after the first date. Because you likely told her that you would call her the next day, some type of contact should be made. Not doing so will make you seem disrespectful, and she may never pick up your call again.
A text message is the best method of contact after a first date. Make sure not to text her too early in the morning because this type of behavior will make you seem desperate. Wait until the afternoon before you make any sort of contact.
When you text her, tell her that you really enjoyed the time you had last night and that you would love to see her again soon. After you have sent her a text message, she should text you back. Keep things light and friendly, but don’t make plans with her over text. When you’re ready to ask her out again, give her a call.
