Second dates can be tricky for men. On one hand, you know your first date wasn’t a total disaster, though hopefully you know it went a little better than that. On the other hand, there’s a chance that the person you’re seeing for your second date is still pretty unsure about you and whether or not they want to keep seeing you in the future. That’s why it’s important to plan a killer second date. Second dates can be a bit awkward if the sparks aren’t flying yet, but setting the right mood and picking the right setting can really help you out.
Can You Cook?
More than likely you took your date somewhere on your first meeting. Now that you know each other just a little bit better, and she’s probably not worried about you being a lunatic ax-murderer, inviting her to come over to dinner at your place is one of the best moves you can make.
Yes, it really helps if you can cook and you make something spectacular. However, even something simple can make for a romantic dinner – something like a basic pasta dish that anybody could prepare. You’ll be more comfortable in your home, and she’ll get to see a different side of you.
Try Something Outside
Second dates don’t have to be in the evening, and they don’t have to be pressure-packed experiences. Setting a date to do something outside – a trip to the beach or apple-picking just outside of town – the possibilities are endless. The fact that you’re outside and doing something that isn’t so pointedly romantic, believe it or not, can actually help you out in the romance department in the long-term.
