Have a Plan
Remember, a first date does not have to be expensive or extravagant. The two of you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee together or opt for a romantic walk in the park. The most important thing is to plan ahead. Women love when a man takes the initiative to set up a date in advance. Do not wait until you see your date to decide the activity, and do not leave it up to her to plan it.
You should always dress appropriately for the occasion. Although you definitely do not want to dress like a complete slob, you also should not overdo it. A three-piece suit is not the best choice for a simple date at the ice cream parlor. On the other hand, your date will be confused if you show up in your pajamas. Keep it classy and casual with a nice pair of jeans and a nice t-shirt – a button-down isn’t necessary unless you’re going to dinner. Make sure you bring a jacket. Offering it to her if she gets cold will score you major points.
There are too many men that take the first date entirely too serious. This leads to a lot of nervousness and uncomfortable apprehension when they go out on dates. Females are good at reading the body language of men. If you are too uptight, you may cause the woman to put her guard up. Focus on getting to know the woman instead of worrying about what she thinks of you.
