The Best Bottle Cutters: Kinkajou

The Best Bottle Cutters: Kinkajou

If you’re anything like us, you have plenty of beer and booze bottles piled in your recycling bin because you’re a drunken skeeve thirsty guy. Good news: You can now put those dead soldiers to good use with the Kinkajou bottle cutter ($50), which allows you to easily turn any bottles into glasses, flower vases, or candle holders. The whole process takes a few minutes and there’s a 99.9 percent chance you won’t mangle your hand in the bottle-cutting process.

There’s also a cool story as to how the Kinkajou came about. Company founder Patrick Lehoux ran a Kickstarter campaign that raked in about $80,000. Six months later, the Kinkajou was on the market. Okay, we told the short version. It’s a lot more interesting if you speak with Pat (we did, and he’s a super good dude).

Other promising products from Bottle Cutting Inc. include the the Jabiru bottle top stem ($25) and the forthcoming LED pendant light kit ($TBD).
