Moonlight

Yeah, it’s a show about vampires, but a pretty good one. Launched by Warner Bros. and created by Ron Koslow and Trevor Munson, the show tells the tale of PI (Private Investigator) Mick St. John (Alex O’Loughlin), who was transformed into a vampire by his bride Coraline (Shannyn Sossamon). This happened on their wedding night no less. Anyways, the show kicks off some time later when Mick gets the hots for a mortal woman named Beth Turner (Sophia Myles). Meanwhile he also runs into other vampires in LA and struggles to maintain a friendship with Josef Kostan (Jason Dohring). Moonlight first hit the TV screens in September, 2007 on CBS. Sadly, it did not garner much praise from critics. In fact, many were sorely disappointed with acting and the writing – the only exception being Jason Dohring who was praised for his portrayal of the character, Josef. Moonlight was also hit hard between 2007–2008, during the Writers Guild of America strike. While 4 final episodes made it to TV, during May 2008 CBS officially canned the show.
