Worried you stink? Then you probably do. The good news? It’s an easy fix. Unless your doctor has told you that you have — also known as “freakishly overactive sweat glands” — proper hygiene and the right products should do the trick.
But there are a lot of deodorants and antiperspirants to choose from. Should you get unscented deodorant or “marine”-scented antiperspirant? Hippie deodorant made out of a “crystal,” or a fragrant spray gel? Texture and personal preference aside, what we really care about here is what works. Remember: Deodorant masks odor, but you’ll still sweat like a pig; antiperspirant masks smell and blocks sweat.
#1. DRYSOL ($15 @ Amazon.com)
This prescription-only antiperspirant is so powerful that it actually does aid those who are cursed with clinically overactive sweat glands. In fact, some users report that they need to apply it once a week. However, if you’re one of those people who hates products with aluminum in it, be advised that Drysol contains 12 percent Aluminum Chloride. You’re better off with a natural deodorant or antiperspirant.
