Let’s turn our eyes away from Russell Crowe for just a bit, and try to recall another awesome quote from Ridley Scott’s epic. A noble Roman senator admirably coming to the conclusion that no matter what you do as a ruler, the people are going to want their bread and their entertainment. A sentiment that holds up even to this day.
