Research done at the Mayo Clinic has suggested that serial fidgeters can burn up to 10 times as many calories per day than their more relaxed, less annoying peers. Things like bouncing your knee, tapping your finger, nodding your head, and incessantly repeating the phrase “That’s what she said!” can burn up to 350 calories each day.
