#6. WASH YOUR CAR
Mud and salt caked onto your car can corrode the finish and rust the undercarriage. Wash your car at least once a month during the winter.
#7. CREATE AN EMERGENCY CAR KIT
You never know when you’ll end up snowbound, so be prepared for the worst. Stash a heavy blanket, flashlight, batteries, snacks (like nuts or protein bars), bottled water, a winter hat, gloves, boots, matches, a first-aid kit, a multi-tool, and jumper cables in your trunk. And a bag of kitty litter can come in handy when you need some extra traction.
