You probably thought the Mr. Olympia beauty pageant muscle man competition was reserved for hard bodies with muscles the size of Smart cars. And you’d be correct. There are plenty of oiled men and women flexing their chiseled biceps and triceps, but the Mr. Olympia event has evolved into more than that.
In fact, the two-day expo in the Las Vegas Convention Center sees more than 50K in foot traffic and traps roughly 30,000 noxious protein farts. The entire weekend — dubbed Olympia Weekend, obviously — has turned into a crazy event. And we were there with our camera in one hand and our other hands plugging our nose. We’re not kidding — those protein farts are killer. Anyway, here are a handful of the things we saw …
