- Stephen King Helped Endorse The Evil Dead
When the movie was first shown to Stephen King (back in 1981), he decided to offer a glowing endorsement by writing a cool and positive review of it (and that was later used on the film’s ads and posters). This effectively sold the film to the public and the flick was eventually acquired by New Line Cinema.
