Minute Seven: Pull-ups

These are great for arms, back, and shoulders. You’ll need somewhere to perform the pull-up, so invest in a pull-up bar, which will cost about $25 and mount in a door frame. Or you can find an alternative such as a tree limb, a solid porch overhang, or the outstretched arm of a freakishly tall friend. Work through pull-ups with proper form, pulling yourself all the way up until your chin is above your hands, then lowering yourself all the way down again. And switch up your hand positioning: wide, narrow, palms facing you, palms away from you.
