Floyd’s 99 is a chain barbershop, so if you’re a hipster, you can go ahead and scroll down to the next selection (unless you’re a metahipster who is ironically patronizing chain stores again after ascending from standard hipsterdom, in which case, read on). This trendy spot feels like a 90’s garage grunge band hangout that slowly turned into a place for men to get their hair cut. That doesn’t seem like the most organic of transformations, considering the long, unkempt hair that defined the 90’s grunge era, but you can only rage against the machine for so long, right? So cut your hair…and retire those stonewashed jeans.
