Power Ranking the Best Football Coaches From Movies

11. BEN SCHWARTZWALDER | THE EXPRESS | 2008
Coached Syracuse to its first National Title behind running back Ernie “The Express” Davis

Most Dennis Quaid movies are just two hours of staring at his “I just ate something sour” face. In this one, though, at least we get some football — specifically, the story of the first black football player to win the Heisman Trophy. Coach Schwartzwalder is shown standing up for what he thinks is right no matter what etc. etc. etc. But more importantly, he coached not only Davis, but also Davis’s predecessor, Jim Brown. Guy was a helluva recruiter.
