Perhaps you’ve heard that beloved child star Miley Cyrus (her real name is Hannah Montana) did a little song and dance routine at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards. You may have also heard that Robin Thicke, who is best known for being one of the sons on Growing Pains, but who also sings a song called “Blurred Lines” that you may have heard if you listen to the radio a lot, particularly NPR, joined her onstage for a duet paying homage to the one performed by Eddie Rabbit and Crystal Gayle at last year’s VMAs. Also, there were a bunch of gigantic teddy bears, probably to appeal to Miley’s young fans, and some twerking, which is the latest workout craze.
But none of that is important. All that really matters is that The Green Corgi created this image after noticing that Robin Thicke’s suit looked somewhat similar to the one worn by Beetlejuice in the oddly named 1988 movie Beetlejuice. As if that wasn’t enough, he even added Lydia, played by former-perpetual-musician-arm-candy-and-current-portrayer-of-wizened-mothers-in-movies-which-makes-us-feel-unbelievably-old Winona Ryder, sitting in the audience looking, appropriately, horrified and confused.
So thank you, Miley Cyrus, for the highlight of the night. (We’d type “Miley Cyrus” again for SEO reasons, but if you type her name three times, she appears and begins licking children’s toys while on all fours.)
