TV Politicians We’d Vote For In Real Life

08carcettiTommy Carcetti | The Wire
The Wire was a brilliant TV show, with flawed, nuanced characters. And one of our favorites was Carcetti, who started out as an idealistic Baltimore city councilman with big ambitions who’d be brought back down to earth by a maze of political power brokers and shady enablers. His tumultuous mayoral reign (and, in the show’s coda, his gubernatorial victory) would be challenging, but ultimately, Carcetti attempted to stick to his principles, and in the world of the The Wire, that was no easy feat.

How To Develop A Harder Slap Shot

03Boss Hogg coltraneBoss Hogg and Roscoe P. Coltrane | The Dukes of Hazzard
We’re not sure if we should praise or condemn the folks of Hazzard County for continually electing the thoroughly corrupt county commissioner and dopey sheriff. Yes, they were nefarious, but they were also hilarious. You have to give Boss credit for lording over the county and bringing in an all-star gallery of miscreants, while also keeping a buffoon like Coltrane around for comic relief. The Dukes may have had a cool car, but Roscoe had the best laugh in TV history. Kew-kew-kew!
