What Are Chemical Weapons, Anyway?

NERVE AGENTS
The best-known nerve agents are sarin and VX. Once you’re exposed, you’ll get a runny nose at first. Haha, no big deal, right? But then you’ll start drooling, have difficulty breathing, experience nausea, and, finally, lose all bodily control. Blisters and burning of the eyes or lungs are also possible, followed by involuntary muscle spasms, brain seizures, and death. In other words, these bitches wreak havoc on your central nervous system.

Sarin was used by Saddam Hussein in the 1980s, and by al-Assad in Syria within the last few months. It’s also presumably what the Joker used in his Smilex gas concoction in 1989’s Batman. Those three guys are real monsters.
