Hairstyle Tips for Balding Men
If you’re one of the 35 million guys experiencing hair loss, we’re guessing you’ve already tried things like Rogaine, biotin, or laser therapy. And hopefully they managed to stave off the inevitable and even know of the best hairstyles for balding men. But if they didn’t do much for you and you’ve given up on creams, tonics, and elixirs, let us suggest things you shouldn’t do with your hair that doesn’t exacerbate the problem. We turned to Salon owner and stylist Tiffany Friedman to help give you a fighting chance of keeping what head hair you have left.
#1: CUT YOUR HAIR SHORT
A short haircut is the best solution to thinning hair. Longer hair is heavier and pulls hair down, visually accentuating the problem up top. “I try to guide men with thinning hair into the best style for their situation,” says Friedman, owner of ‘N Style Salon in Santa Clarita, Calif. “A shorter cut is going to be more appropriate.”
