Each location is tailored to the neighborhood, but expect traditional and manly; the full-service website has pictures of each. Service comes with conversation and a shot of Burnside bourbon, a Widmer Brothers microbrew, or a Stumptown coffee, as well as a complimentary cigar and a splash of cologne. Modern Man is a full-service operation, and though prices are a little higher than some – $28 for a basic cut – this is sit-down service. Even while channeling Ernest Hemingway with the furnishings, Modern Man offers deluxe packages: The Sinatra, The Lady Killer and The Six Shooter, which allows six cuts for the price of five. Too, you can get gray coverage or a scalp massage. Modern man is traditional man with a little something more.
