COEUR D’ALENE CASINO RESORT OFFERS A $91.11 ROOM RATE (2012)
The Idaho casino offered discounts to qualifying first responders, EMTs, cops, veterans — basically anyone with a badge — for food and lodging ($91.11 for rooms, and a $9.11 food voucher).
Critics of the promotion said 9/11 should be a day of remembrance, but others said hey, the casino is just giving these people a good deal in return for the service they provide. They obviously were forgetting that the only reason a casino wants anyone in their rooms or at their restaurants is so that they lose money in the casino.
