Sonic the Hedgehog debuted in 1991 on the 16-bit Sega Genesis, and he quickly became Sega’s answer to Nintendo’s Mario. Sonic’s popularity spawned numerous sequels on various consoles (anyone remember Sega CD?), plus the addition of characters like Tails and Knuckles. But as much as the games have progressed, we’re still suckers for the original. That’s why we’re so into this 3D animation of Sonic’s first level, Green Hill Zone, from that ’91 video game. It demonstrates just how terrifying it would be if you had Sonic’s red running shoes strapped onto your feet, but also adds an element of danger by coming dangerously close to making anyone who watches it puke due to motion sickness. Watch and you’ll see what we mean!
