Everyone tells lies. And to be honest, not all lies are bad. After all, sometimes a well-executed fib can keep you out of needless trouble when, say, your boss asks why you haven’t turned in the TPS reports yet, or when your girlfriend asks you if you can tell she’s gained 10 lbs.

We’re not saying you should lie a lot, but when you do, remember these tips from body-language expert Patti Wood* — they’ll help you get away with murder! (Well, hopefully not murder.)
* Wood does not condone lying … or does she?!**
** She doesn’t.
