Peoples’ views about online dating have evolved. So we’ll see your profile on DiaperMates.com?

Remember when admitting that you were using an online dating service was akin to admitting that your date wasn’t really a date but was what some uptight snobs might refer to as an “adult escort.” Yeah, well the times are changing. Now that there’s an online dating site for everyone (yes, even guys who wear diapers and creepy baby masks), more people are opening up to the prospect of using emoticons and chats over cheesy pick-up lines at happy hour.
A study from Pew Research Center found that 59 percent now believes that “online dating is a good way to meet people.” In 2005, only 44 percent thought that. Online dating is now also seen as less desperate than before, with an eight-point drop (or 29 percent) from the ’05 questionnaire.
