Unlike most movie stars Taylor Momsen’s musical career features some rather prominent work. Categorized hard rock post-grunge alternative rock, her band, The Pretty Reckless, formed back in 2009, now consists of Ben Phillips (lead guitar, backing vocals), Mark Damon (bass) and Jamie Perkins (drums) – Taylor Momsen performs with lead vocals, and rhythm guitar. Throughout the years, The Pretty Reckless has churned out three studio albums, but more importantly, released the song “Going to Hell” (2013), as part of the effort to promote the album of the same name. In 2014, Going to Hell marked a great leap for the band and it hit number 5 on the Billboard 200, selling over 35,000 copies sold in its first week. Later on, with they climbed the very top of the US Mainstream Rock Songs chart with singles like “Heaven Knows” and “Messed Up World (F’d Up World),” easily becoming the second female-fronted band to achieve two number ones in a row on the chart.
