YEAR: 1995
Vermont-based jam band Phish has made the Garden their home for sold-out New Year’s Eve shows on seven occasions: 1995, 1997, 1998, 2002, 2010, 2011, 2012. But their first three-set NYE show in ’95 is widely considered one of their best shows ever by fans, critics, and even the band. Rolling Stone magazine once referred to Phish as “America’s Greatest Jam Band,” and named this particular show one of the “Greatest Concerts of the 90s.”
