5. In the original script, Lydia Dietz was written as a minor character. It was her much younger sister Cathy who could see the Maitlands. We’re guessing Winona Ryder stole the script and rewrote it to feature more of her. Okay, enough thief jokes, we swear.
6. Lydia’s dress in the wedding is bright red instead of traditional white. This is a reference to an old rhyme about wedding dress colors that says “Married in red, better off dead.”
