A mere 14 years after Clark Griswold and his extended family revived the Vacation franchise withNational Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Randy Quaid as Uncle Eddie tries to make lightning strike twice. And fails miserably. The plot: Eddie gets fire and plans t sue the company until his boss offers him a free Christmas vacation. Except en route to some R&R, the family is shipwrecked on an island and … hilarity does not ensue. Tears might. Boredom surely does. A refund on the time wasted watching this hunk of trash? Unlikely.
