The Wallkill Mighty Mites scored a 22-0 shutout victory in their season opener. Unfortunately, the team needs to practice charging through the banner pre-kickoff. Evidently the vinyl banner made by some parents proved too much for he Mites to overcome. No word yet on whether parents groups are up on arms about the failure.With the way things are going, it wouldn’t surprise us of someone started a petition to have the teams stop at the banner, have parents pre-tear it, and then instruct the kids to run through. That way everyone wins and there is no potential of failure. Maybe we’re overreacting …
