#5. NES POWER GLOVE | 1989
The NES Power Glove — a Nintendo controller that you wore on your hand — looked totally rad for its time. It was so badass that Freddy Krueger wore one in Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare, and it made an unforgettably forced appearance in the cult-gaming-classic The Wizard. The one problem? It didn’t work. As cool as the system’s light gun was, the Power Glove was famously imprecise and glitchy. Not that its problems stopped Nintendo from moving 100,000 units to the tune of $88 million.
