Shoot ’em ups have come a long way since Duck Hunt, but back in the 80s it was insane to have a home console where you could point a “zapper” at your screen and blast ducks (that weirdly didn’t bleed when you popped a cap in them). The dog is nameless, although many creatives in the media simply referred to him as “Duck Hunt Dog” or “Laughing Dog.”
