Back in the day lots of parents were upset with the blood and guts that spilled in MK. Little did those people know that years later it would only intensify by, oh, about a trillion. (Grand Theft Auto, anyone?) However, a lesser-known fact about Mortal Kombat is that the inspiration for the game comes from Chinese mythology and some of the stories of the Monks of the Shaolin monastery, the birthplace of Zen Buddhism. We’re sure this guy knew that before getting tatted up.
