Joss Whedon directed The Avengers last year, and everyone loved it. [Not everyone. —Ed.] Problem was, after seeing it for the 17th time, fanboys everywhere realized with hearts as heavy as Mjolnir that they’d have to wait till 2015 for the next installment. So Whedon was all, “What if I do a TV sh—” and every network no doubt immediately backed dump trucks full of money up to his home.
The result is Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Tuesdays, 8 p.m. EST, ABC). It’ll follow members of the super spy agency and there are several things we’re hoping Whedon and the overlords at Disney who own Marvel can make a reality.
