Yes, it was ultimately pointless. But the fact remains that two TV comedians — who provide a shocking number of Americans with their only source of news — attracted 215,000 people to our nation’s capital to hear some jokes about how horrible everything is and maybe be inspired to do something about it. Even more comforting: A few months earlier, former morning-zoo radio host Glenn Beck had managed to draw only 87,000 people to his tin-foil-on-the-head rally.
