Ryan Reynolds Refused the Role of Buffy’s Sidekick
Actor Ryan Reynolds (now starring in a range of Hollywood big-budget flicks, including the critically and commercially successful Deadpool) turned down the role of Buffy’s sharp and witty sidekick Xander. Back in 2008 The Star published an interview with Ryan Reynolds in which he said: “I love that show and I loved Joss Whedon, the creator of the show, but my biggest concern was that I didn’t want to play a guy in high school. I had just come out of high school and it was f***ing awful.”
